     The Criminal Investigation Division consists of four investigators assigned to follow-up all crimes within West Feliciana Parish. They are responsible for investigation homicides, burglaries, robberies, thefts, forgery, rape, etc. Investigators are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

     WFPSO Investigators are also responsible for criminal investigations at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. Some of the investigations include homicide, rape, battery on a correctional officer, etc.

     Investigators work closely with the Evidence Custodian, David Ellis. The Evidence Custodian keeps up with evidence, maintains the chain of custody, transports evidence to and from the State Police Crime Laboratory. The addition of this position makes evidence used in court cases more reliable and allows deputies more time to patrol.
