S.R.T. members, led by Lieutenant Marc Daigle, are trained in hostage rescue and tactical building entry. Training consists of firearm accuracy and target analysis and acquisition. Training at various public buildings gives S.R.T. members familiarization with buildings that they might be called to one day. The S.R.T. team obtains equipment from Army Surplus, which equips them with state of the art technology at a low cost to the Sheriff's Office. The S.R.T. has the "Dragon" at their disposal; the "Dragon" is an armored personnel carrier that the Sheriff's Office obtained without cost. The S.R.T. continues to train and update equipment under the supervision of Sheriff J. Austin Daniel.

Most material on this web site is copyrighted by the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office.
