Court Security

With the increase in security issues in today’s society, the West Feliciana Parish Sheriffs office instituted a Court security Program during the spring of 2006.

Armed and POST certified deputies man the security checkpoints in the buildings to ensure the safety of all those who enter. Metal detectors and x-ray equipment are used in the normal scope of duties.

Lt Earl Reech, Corporal Jimmy Ritchie and Deputy Jack Cutrer provide the day to day security and bailiff services at the court house; they are supplemented by additional personal as needed.

Captain Marc Daigle is the Security coordinator, and the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office liaison officer for Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola and River Bend Power Plant.
