The DARE Program is a cooperative program involving the school system , parents and the local sheriff's department or police department. Children are faced with many obstacles and the DARE Program helps them to overcome these obstacles. So support your local DARE Program!

The DARE Program, Drug Abuse Resistance Education, is a substance use prevention educational program designed to equip school children with the skills for resisting peer pressure to use/experiment with tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. First developed in Los Angeles in 1983, this unique program uses uniformed law enforcement officers to teach a curriculum to students in a classroom setting.

DARE Program gives special attention to elementary through seventh grades to prepare students for entry into middle and high school, where they are most likely to encounter pressures to use drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
